GF Grannie Annie’s Green Machine Shake
You’ll need a spoon for this filling, nutritious, easy, “green” shake. I like it for a summer’s breakfast, but it’s good anytime of day or year.
In a blender add:
4 large Kale leaves, deveined
a small handful of walnuts (or almonds)
1 heaping Tbsp, of ground flax
1 small banana (can use frozen bananas and skip the ice cubes)
1 ripe peach
1/2 – 3/4 c. coconut milk or your preferred kind
4-5 ice cubes
Blend til thick and smooth. Eat with a spoon.
You can play with this recipe by adding different fruits, nuts, or juice. Or make it more liquid by adding more liquid.
The peach and banana add a subtle sweetness. And the avocado adds a silky smoothness. Enjoy!
